Peipei "Peppa" Yuan: Artist of Movement
From Visual Effects to Performing Arts

Peipei Yuan’s passion for the Art of Movement has lead her to find a career Hollywood in the Entertainment industry. With a degree in Visual Arts from Columbia University, Peipei concentrated on Computer Graphics and Animation, finding a career in 3D CG Pre-Visualizations for Architectural projects in NYC . She then moved to Los Angeles and worked for 8 years as a Pre-Viz/Storyboard Animatic Artist on Blockbuster films such as “Pirates of the Caribbean,” “Superman Returns,” and “Spiderman III”. Peipei  worked closely with directors like Sam Raimi and Gore Verbinski to help plot out sequences in films with 3d Animatics, which assisted in production and efficiency for the director to create the scenes. Peipei's Pre-Viz Animatics helped the director in technical aspects of cinematography, as well as nurtured the created process and story telling of action, timing, and choreography. (Peipei’s IMDB)

Peipei’s athletic background of Competitive gymnastics and collegiate Springboard Diving, Break Dancing, and  Martial artist, gave her a very unique gift in choreographing camera moves in coordination with detailed character movements for Pre-Viz. Her knowledge of movement, musicality, and timing, has assisted in her work on action sequences. This technical experience as a  Pre-Viz animator in films created a natural transition for Peipei to be a professional Stunt Woman, and director for her own projects.

Star Trek2008

Peipei studied Stunts and Fighting for Film with Reel Kick Stunt Team. Peipei has performed as a stunt actor in TV shows like "Numb3rs", "CSI-NY" and Star Trek 2008. She has laded principal roles in national commercials for Starbucks, Ebay, and Farmer's Insurance.

As an Action Actress, Peipei's movements have been used for motion-capture for games such as Tony Hawk’s “Shred” and “DJ HERO”.

Currently, Peipei continues to train in dance, martial arts and acrobatics. She has focused on directing, choreographing and producing to continue her passion of Entertaining audiences. Peipei is proficient in Coordinating and Producing for Video productions, and is experienced in choreographing and directing movements for dancers, stunts and fight choreography. Outer Circle Crew

Peipei has founded and manages her company  Outer Circle Crew and dance crew,The Syrenz, She directs, coordinates, manages, choreographs, and produces Live shows and Videos for various Events, Corporate Parties, Product Launches, Weddings, and Holiday Parties.

As a dancer Peipei has appeared in many Music Videos, and has performed with artists like Justin Bieber, Usher, Pink, and Gwen Stefani. She recently is featured in the Feature Film “Step Up 3D”. (2010)

“There are no boundaries to expressing my art. I can make anything happen, and if I don’t know how to do something, I’ll figure it out!” Peipei exclaims.
